Born in Molėtai district, the craftswoman lives in Utena and since 1995 has been making various baskets, decorative home decorations, plates, flowers. Weaving is a major source of livelihood. The creator is a traditional artisan of certified products of national heritage, who cherishes the old weaving craft.
The purpose of the educational program
To encourage people of all ages to become interested in Lithuanian history and ethnic culture. To introduce the craft of weaving, its history, significance in the past, present and ethnic culture.
Activities: During the education you will learn about the craft of weaving and the different techniques available. Later, the craftswoman will show you how to weave different handicrafts, and you will be able to try to weave a workpiece. During education you can learn to weave from wickers various baskets, decorative home decorations, plates, flowers. The craftsman takes care of all the supplies.
Duration of education: 1 – 4 hours.
Number of participants: 15 persons.
