The Taikūnai Pine is a protected botanical natural heritage site located near Lake Vilkaitė. This impressive pine is not only a natural monument but also a place of historical significance. Beside the tree stands a memorial pole commemorating the fallen Dzūkija partisans who fought for Lithuania's freedom. Nearby (approximately 3 meters from the pine), a bunker once sheltered partisans from the Šarūnas Detachment of the Mindaugas Family Division. This site serves as a tribute to Lithuania's struggle for freedom and symbolizes the resilience of its people.
