While vacationing in the Varėna district, make sure to visit the Merkinė Observation Tower, located on the banks of the Nemunas River amidst the pine forests of Dzūkija.
The observation platforms are elevated to heights of 15 and 25 meters. The tower itself features an irregular shape resembling stylized pine needles. Its architectural design reflects the idea of growing trees, evident in its structure.
At the top, you will be greeted by panoramic views of the Dzūkija National Park and a glimpse of the nearby town of Merkinė.
