The Neris river

The Neris River is the second longest river in Lithuania, stretching 228 km within the country. It is the right tributary of the Nemunas River, joining it in Kaunas at Santaka Park. The Neris flows through Lithuania's largest cities, Vilnius and Kaunas, playing an essential role in both nature and culture. Along its banks, cycling and pedestrian paths provide opportunities to enjoy picturesque natural and urban landscapes. Historically, the Neris was significant for trade and communication between regions.
