While relaxing in the Kaunas district and wishing to learn more about ethnic culture, visit the Antanas and Jonas Juškas Museum.
The museum is housed in the oldest building in Vilkija, believed to be over 300 years old. Visitors will find exhibits representing traditional Lithuanian folk life.
The collection preserves treasures reflecting the country’s ethnoculture, accumulated by A. Juška: a songbook containing more than 7,000 songs, collections with 2,000 melodies, and a dictionary that includes as many as 700,000 old Lithuanian words.
