Dubrava arboretum

Heritage Gardens:

The Dubrava Arboretum began development in 1958 at the Dubrava Forest Research Station, located in the village of Vaišvydava near Kaunas. The arboretum preserves, displays, and studies valuable local and introduced dendroflora species with scientific, educational, and ornamental significance. The arboretum spans approximately 50 hectares and is home to more than 800 species, subspecies, varieties, and cultivars of woody plants. Some sections of the arboretum, such as the conifer and Ericaceae collections, the introduction-quarantine nursery, and the rare tree and shrub exhibit, are accessible only by prior arrangement.
