St. Michael the Archangel`s Church or the Garrison Church, also known as the Soboras, was built in 1895. It is one of the most prominent and majestic churches in Kaunas, located in the heart of the city – on the eastern side of Laisvės Alėja. Originally built for the Russian Imperial Army, its Neo-Byzantine architectural style stands out with grandeur and elegance. Today, the Soboras serves not only as an important religious site but also as a popular venue for cultural and artistic events.
