Vytautas' the Great Church of the Assumption of The Holy Virgin Mary

The Vytautas the Great Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is the oldest preserved Gothic architectural monument in Kaunas, built in the 15th century. This church was constructed during a time when Kaunas flourished as a member of the Hanseatic League. Its architecture stands out with pointed towers and an elegant façade, while the interior houses sacred objects of historical significance. Over time, the church has served various purposes, ranging from religious ceremonies to a temporary warehouse. Today, it functions as both a place of worship and a historical site, attracting visitors from all over.
