Vytautas the Great War Museum

Regain your energy at one of the rural tourism homesteads in the Kaunas region and visit one of the oldest museums in Lithuania – the Vytautas the Great War Museum.

The museum was founded in 1919. During your visit, you will have the opportunity to explore significant historical events, vividly complemented by exhibits of warfare and weaponry. One of the halls is dedicated to the legendary pilots Steponas Darius and Stasys Girėnas, showcasing relics from their airplane that crossed the Atlantic Ocean.

The building's exterior beautifully reflects interwar architecture – a harmonious blend of tradition and modernity. In the garden next to the War Museum, you can hear the constant chime of bells and witness the ever-burning eternal flame.
